Ring Size Guide

At Fraser Hart, we consider ourselves to be the experts when it comes to rings, be it an engagement ring, a wedding ring or eternity ring, and we recognise that finding the perfect fit is both extremely important and difficult.

With that in mind, the table below shows the inside circumference of each ring size. These sizes then correspond with a matching size. Traditionally, the most common sizes for women range between I - Q and for men its usually between R – Z. Please note that this is only a guide and that having your finger measured in any of our 36 nationwide showrooms is the most accurate way to find out your ring size.

In general, our fingers are warmer in the evening time and therefore a bit larger in size. This is the ideal team to measure for size them because when your body is colder, your fingers shrink a small bit and this can make the measurement result in half a ring size smaller. For the most accurate result, please visit any of our 40 nationwide Fraser Hart stores where our staff will be happy to get the size for your finger. If planning a surprise proposal, you can instead bring a ring that your beloved already owns into one of our stores to have this measured for free too.

If you cannot take a ring to one of our stores, there are other options to try. Check with their friends and family members if they have ever bought them a ring before and may know their size. If you can access one of their rings, measure the space for the finger with a ruler to get the diameter in mm and compare it to the sizing chart above. You can also use a piece of dental floss / string to encircle the finger space and then measure the floss / string in mm to get the circumference.
